The eKit S310S is the switch we reach for in a small office, because it does two jobs at once: it carries the data and it powers the access points and desk phones over the same cable. With PoE on all twenty-four ports, there is no separate power supply for each wireless access point, and no power adaptor under each desk phone.

Twenty-four ports covers a single floor comfortably — a full patch panel of workstations, plus whatever access points and phones sit on top. When you need more, you link a second unit over the 10-gigabit uplinks rather than buying one oversized chassis.

It is fanless, so it can sit in an office cabinet without the noise of a server-room switch, and it is managed through a simple web interface rather than a command line. We supply it racked, configured and labelled, with the SFP+ modules and patch leads that go with it.
